This is how the construction of the Tordas-Velence section of the bicycle path around Lake Balaton is progressing.

Our company is carrying out the construction of a 17.5 km section of the 108 km long bicycle path connecting the capital with Lake Balaton.

With the development of the section between Tordas and Velence, the following will be realized: 

• 9.1 kilometers of mixed traffic sections for agricultural and cycling,
• nearly 2 kilometers of new independent bicycle path section will be established,
• traffic engineering interventions will be carried out over an additional 6.4 kilometers.

In Pázmánd, colleagues are building a bicycle bridge with a 6-meter clear span over the Bágyom stream.

The bicycle route will be routed over the existing pedestrian-bicycle bridge above the M7 motorway, which will eventually connect to the bicycle route around Lake Velence.

The construction, which started in the summer of 2021, was somewhat hindered by winter weather. The works are currently 65% complete: currently bridge, water, embankment, and subgrade construction, as well as edging tasks are being carried out, in addition, the frost protection layer is being built, and asphalting is taking place.

The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.
