During the reconstruction works, the design of the stations as well as the metro's ventilation system will be renewed
The main ventilation system has 1-1 newly installed fan with incredible performance: each fan could serve 3 hotels with 120 rooms. Another interesting fact is that the direction of the fans' rotation is variable: thus, in addition to ensuring both "inhalation and exhalation," the appropriate amount of air can also be regulated.
The primary task of the station main ventilators is to transport air towards the surface, whereas the line main ventilators draw air from the surface, ensuring the supply of fresh air into the tunnel and the stations.
The performance of the fans can be adjusted based on the required air volume, the optimal internal temperature, and the signals from the carbon dioxide sensors.
Another interesting fact is that, unlike the station main ventilators, the line main ventilation structures had a significant influence on the metro's construction itself: since they serve not only one tunnel but both directions of the metro tunnel pair, there is a cross-connecting tunnel between the two metro tunnels where each of these ventilation shafts starts.
