The latest section of the Budapest-Balaton bicycle route (BUBA) is nearing completion, with colleagues working on the section connecting Tordas to Velence.
This distance accounts for 17.5 km of the total 108.2 km length of BUBA.
In the investment
- 9.1 km of mixed traffic road sections,
- nearly 2 km of new independent bicycle path has been created,
- and traffic engineering interventions have been carried out over an additional 6.4 km by colleagues.
- In Pázmánd, a bicycle bridge with a 6-meter clear span has been built over the Bágyom stream.
During the related works, fire hydrants, telecommunications pole installations, and electrical poles have been placed and reconstructed. Additionally, new street lighting has been established in Kajászón, Pázmánd, and Velence.
The bicycle path reaches Lake Velence within the inhabited area of Velence and connects to the bicycle path around Lake Velence.
