SWIETELSKY Hungary has reached 10 million tons of produced asphalt – another milestone in the life of the group

16.11.2025

SWIETELSKY in Hungary has reached an important milestone: the company's domestic asphalt production has reached ten million tons. The milestone quantity was produced at the Múcsony mixing plant, which has been in operation since 2005 and was expanded in 2020 with a completely new, modern Ammann asphalt plant.

SWIETELSKY Hungary has been engaged in asphalt production since 1991 and has become one of the key players in the domestic road construction and infrastructure development market. The Múcsony plant is one of the company's dynamically developing sites: nearly 1 million tons of asphalt have been produced here so far, and this is expected to be surpassed in 2026. The ten millionth ton was incorporated during the road renovation between Felsőtelekes and Szuhakálló.

As an interesting fact, engineers calculated that SWIETELSKY Hungary's total asphalt production so far would be sufficient to cover the entire equator of the Earth with a thickness of 10 cm and a width of 1 meter, which illustrates the magnitude of the work done.

The performance of the domestic sites is outstanding:

  • the Dunakeszi mixing plant will reach 3 million tons by 2026,
  • Csorna and Székesfehérvár have already surpassed 1 million tons,
  • Görbeháza and Szarvas are approaching the next major milestone.

The company's management emphasized that the quantity achieved now is a joint result of technological advancement and the dedicated work of colleagues, which further strengthens SWIETELSKY's role in regional infrastructure development.
