Reborn chocolate factory in the heart of the city – the YOU ARE HOTEL Budapest has opened

In the heart of Budapest, a special building has reopened: the former chocolate factory and office now operates as a four-star hotel named YOU ARE HOTEL Budapest. The renovation was carried out by SWIETELSKY Hungary Ltd. The building was constructed in 1928 and was previously the headquarters of the famous Hungarian confectionery manufacturer, Stühmer. The brand was one of Hungary's most recognized chocolate factories in the first half of the 20th century. The original inscription, which refers to the building's historical past, is now once again visible on the facade. The completely renewed hotel awaits guests with 94 rooms, a bar, a restaurant, a cinema, and a fitness room. The interior spaces are complemented by modern design and youthful colors, reflecting the atmosphere of the old factory. The building incorporates modern, energy-efficient technologies – such as a hybrid VRF system and intelligent building control – allowing the hotel to operate sustainably and comfortably. The aim of the project was to give the historical building a new function while preserving the values of its past, transforming it into one of Budapest's new, modern urban hotels.
